Andrew S. Mikhail, PhD, is a staff scientist at the Center for Interventional Oncology, NIH Clinical Center. He completed his doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences and biomedical engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada, and holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. Dr. Mikhail’s primary research interests include the development of drug delivery systems to address unmet clinical needs in interventional oncology. He is particularly interested in embolic drug delivery vehicles, percutaneous injectable drug delivery systems, and image-guided drug delivery.
