Ripal T. Gandhi, M.D. is faculty at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute / Miami Vascular Specialists and Miami Cancer Institute. He is also an professor at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and associate professor at USF College of Medicine.
Dr. Gandhi graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in Biology. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship at Cornell University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his residency training and fellowship at UCLA Medical Center and was voluntary faculty at UCLA following fellowship.
He has served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health and dedicated an entire year to biomedical research at the renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Prior to joining Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute/Miami Cancer Institute, Dr. Gandhi was an international visiting scholar at Asan Medical Center/University of Ulsan Medical School in Seoul, South Korea.
He has authored multiple scientific papers, presented research findings at national and international meetings, and is the recipient of multiple awards. He has published a textbook entitled "Interventional Oncology". Hs also a course director for the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy (ISET) and Symposium on Clinical Interventional Oncology (CIO).
