Miyuki Sone, MD, is a consultant radiologist and the head of Interventional Radiology Center at National Cancer Center Hospital in Japan. She earned her medical degree from Iwate Medical University and completed her training of internal medicine at Iwate Prefectural Central Hospital, followed by a fellowship of Radiology at Iwate Medical University. Before accepting her current position, she served as a staff and then an assistant professor at Iwate Medical University. She is a delegate of the Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology. She has had a longstanding interest in interventional oncology, IR for women’s health, and clinical trial methodology for IR. In 2018, she was appointed as the chair of Japan Interventional Radiology in Oncology Study Group (JIVROSG), a clinical trial group for interventional oncology.
