Dr. Laura Findeiss is currently Chief of Radiology at Grady Memorial Hospital and Professor of Radiology at Emory University.
Following receipt of her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Findeiss pursued two years of training in General Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center before completing a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and, subsequently, a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of Washington. Prior leadership roles include serving as Chief of Interventional Radiology at the University of California, Irvine and at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She was recruited to the University of Tennessee Medical Center as Chair of the Department of Radiology in 2013.
Dr. Findeiss has been active in numerous institutional and national service roles, including President of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) 2019-2020. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Research Education Committee for the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation, and has been active in SIR initiatives related to enhancing clinical practice in interventional radiology as well as in efforts to engage and support students and early career members. She is a Fellow of the Society of Vascular Medicine, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the American Heart Association.
