Dr. Short completed an MD/PhD program at The Ohio State University with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with research focus in nanotechnology, targeted-drug delivery, and lymphangiogenesis. He attended University of Virginia for his Radiology/Research Residency and completed a fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology. He spent his early career as faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he was director of IR at UPMC Mercy Hospital. He now is Section Chief of VIR at Dayton VA Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at Wright State University, Dayton, OH. Areas of expertise include ablative therapies, particularly percutaneous ablation for pulmonary masses; pain management; and venous disease.
