Gregory is a consultant in endovascular surgery and interventional radiology at Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospital. He graduated from the medical school of Athens in 2007 with a distinction and then pursued a Ph.D in vascular surgery at Imperial College of London, UK. This was followed by an Academic Clinical Fellowship at Cambridge University and a National Training Number in Interventional radiology and Endovascular surgery. Greg subspecialized in endovascular surgery and interventional radiology at Oxford University Hospitals.
Dr Makris is a TEDx speaker and main author of many peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, member of the CVIR endovascular journal editorial board as well as peer reviewer for BMJ and Cochrane. He is also the chairman of the European forum for interventional radiology trainees (ETF) under the auspices of CIRSE and past chair of the BSIR trainee committee (2018-2019).
