Dr Richard Lo graduated with MB.,BS from the University of London King’s College
School of Medicine and Dentistry. He received his radiology training in Hong Kong
and obtained his Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists, UK (FRCR) in 1992. He
subsequently joined the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Singapore General
Hospital, and obtained Fellowship of Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) in
Dr Lo’s subspecialty interests include interventional oncology and in minimally
invasive therapy in liver malignancies. He was a Member of the Steering Committee
for the Asia-Pacific Hepatocellular Carcinoma Trials Group for Protocols AHCC05 trial
(Phase I/II Study of SIR-Spheres plus Sorafenib (Chemo-Radiotherapy) as First Line
Treatment in Patients with Non-Resectable Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma, 2008-
2009) and AHCC06 trial (SIRveNIB Trial (Phase III Multi-Centre Open-Label
Randomized Control Trial of Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) Versus
Sorafenib in Locally Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma Trial, 2010-2017).
He is currently Senior Consultant in the Department of Vascular and Interventional
Radiology, Singapore General Hospital since 2002.
